Boris Daussà-Pastor is Theatre PhD Candidate at The Graduate Center-CUNY (New York). He is also a professor at Institut del Teatre (Barcelona), where he has been recently elected Head of the Department of Theory and History of the Performing Arts and also appointed Head of Graduate Programs. He has taught in the USA and Spain courses on Theatre Theory, History of Performing Arts, Acting, Asian Theatre, and Performance Studies. Boris combines his academic career with a career as an actor, director, and movement director. He has published articles and book reviews in several academic journals as well as a training guide for kathakali. His dissertation focuses on how Indian nationalism has reshaped the training and performance practice of kathakali. Boris Daussà-Pastor is a member of the Executive Committee of IFTR.
